In this course, learners will examine how to administer user accounts, as well as control system access, data access, system processes, and system programs. As a result, learners will be better able to maintain Solaris 9 user environments and ensure secure systems.
Objectives:
After completing this course, students will be able to:
- Create and delete both user and group accounts
- Restrict and monitor both user accounts and the superuser account
- Change default and existing file permissions, as well file ownership
- View process attributes using the ps, prstat, and pgrep commands
- Terminate processes using the kill and pkill commands
